I’m told that if I do one more Prime Big Deal Days post, they’ll take off the metal clamps holding my eyelids open, and won’t put them back on until Black Friday next month. Result! So here’s a little after-dinner mint of a PC gaming hardware bargain: JSAUX’s Steam Deck thumbstick covers, which come packaged with some stick-on decals for £8 / $8. Both 20% off, they be, leaving a price so low I have real hope you’ll forgive me using the phrase "stocking stuffer" in October.
]]>I always like to balance the inherent cynicism and general corporate awfulness of covering events like Prime Big Deal Days by focusing recommendations on hardware I genuinely like, and ideally, what I actually own. Partly hence the G515 Lightspeed TKL keyboard post from yesterday. And here’s another: the sleek-lookin', sharp-recordin' Logitech StreamCam, which is down from £139 to £70 in the UK and down from $170 to $100 in the US.
]]>Would it be fair to say that we sometimes overlook SATA SSDs? With NVMe drives forming our future and mechanical hard disks increasingly consigned to the past, the 2.5in form factor is just kind of... there. In all of its middle groundedness.
Which is harsh, because they can provide heaps of capacity at relatively attainable prices, as the Crucial BX500 is currently demonstrating. Per Prime Big Deal Days, Amazon UK is running the 2TB version for just £92 (34% off) as well as 4TB for £178 (41% off). Meanwhile, Amazon US is lopping 43% off the 1GB model, bringing it down to $54, with the 4TB model shedding 13% to reach $210.
]]>It’s easy to think of your PC’s RAM as something that just needs to be enough, rather than a powerhouse like the graphics card or CPU. Easy for me, anyway, until testing out the Silent Hill 2 remake this past week served up a reality check: modern games need a lot of memory, and in SH2’s case, might not even get past the Steam launcher if they decide you’re lacking in it. As penance, I’ve found some DDR5 RAM deals in the Prime Big Deal Days sales that should set any modern rig for years and years of... well, games launching properly, I suppose.
As such, while 16GB is the bare minimum you can get away with, I’d recommend 32GB to be safe. For pure value, check out Crucial’s DDR5 Pro set, which I've been using in my own testing setup for a while: it’s down from £140 to £80 on Amazon UK, and down from $150 to $81 on Amazon US. But the single best deal here, I reckon, is Corsair’s Vengeance RGB kit, which the US site has slashed from $130 to $100. That’s the same price as the non-RGB equivalent kit while also being faster, at 6400MHz to 6000MHz. Us UK folk can also get a similar set for £101, down from £147, though that’s set at 6000MHz.
]]>Few gaming headsets weave together top sound quality, sustained comfort, and clean mic input as deftly as the Logitech G Pro X Wireless. As such, it usually costs a bundle, but with Prime Big Deal Days administering some cuts, it’s going cheaper right now. A lot cheaper: on Amazon UK, it’s down to £110, a full 50% off the RRP. Amazon US, meanwhile, has it down from $230 to $130.
]]>If you’re not militant about meeting all the latest hardware standards, but do need an upgrade in the CPU department, the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D is close to perfect. Despite releasing this year, it’s designed to fit the last-gen AM4 motherboard socket – which sounds strange, because it is, but then the 5700X3D is also the cheapest Ryzen chip to feature AMD’s extremely game-friendly 3D V-Cache tech. The result is a very sprightly processor that’s available for relative chump change, especially now that Prime Big Deal Days has sliced it down to £161 in the UK.
]]>Two years since they emerged as a serious screen option for PC games, OLED monitors still haven’t cracked the issue of how they just look too bloomin’ expensive next to similarly specced LCD displays. Which is a shame, as the OLED gaming monitors I’ve used have invariably looked sumptuous, without the movement blurring issues you might expect if you own a TV of the same panel tech. Relying on sales events remains the best way to make the switch without bankrupting yourself, as we can see in this Prime Big Deal Days offer: 40%, or £400, off the OLED-powered LG UltraGear 27GR95QE-B.
]]>I noticed that an awful lot of you read last Monday’s spotlight on the Ugreen Docking Station for Steam Deck, by our new deals tsar Robert. An awful lot. Way more than anything I wrote that week. No, it’s fine. I’m FINE. I hope you’ll be very happy together. But not as happy as someone who needs a swanky new Steam Deck dock yet missed that sale, as now they have another chance, with Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days knocking it down to £26 / $30 once more.
]]>This latest Amazon Prime Big Deal Days really is playing all the hits for PC storage. As well as money off the finest Steam Deck microSD, there are savings to be had on our tip-top desktop SSD pick, the WD Black SN850X – which is a few years old now, but still produces superlative gaming load times. Or a lack thereof. The 1TB model is down to £70 at Amazon UK, but I think the Yanks have us beat here, as they can nab the 2TB edition for just $140.
]]>It’s a stubborn little beggar, but the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti’s pricing has been dragged down enough in recent months that it’s now a far tastier prospect than it was at launch. Now, the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale has a twin-fan Asus model down to £340 in the UK – the lowest this particular graphics card has ever been, and as far as I can tell, the least you’d have to pay for a brand-new RTX 4060 Ti in the current market.
]]>I’m acutely aware someone on RPS, usually me, ends up dealsposting about the Samsung Pro Plus every time there’s a big hardware sale going on. As there currently is, with Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days having returned to town. But don’t let my complete lack of original thinking overshadow two simple facts: one, this is still the best microSD card for the Steam Deck, and two, the 512GB model very nearly half price on both sides of the Atlantic. That’s £38 (down from £74) in the UK, and $40 (down from $76) in the US.
]]>One of the more compelling arguments for gaming graphics degrowth is that all those extreme-fidelity moss textures and Master Chief helmet dents are producing some horrifically engorged installation sizes. That’s a recipe for an SSD upgrade, and if it’s space you’re after, then Amazon Prime Big Deal Days has the 4TB Crucial P3 Plus on some big discounts. It’s down from £250 to just £192 in the UK, and down from $360 to $210 in the US.
]]>It’s time for (yet) another of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days, days of big Prime deals that have deals on days for Prime. I don’t know anymore, this is like the third or fourth one this year. But I do know a good gaming keyboard when I see one, and this latest sale has the lovely Logitech G515 Lightspeed TKL down from £140 to £119. Its first UK discount since launch, no less.
]]>Prime Day 2024 has delivered a rather good deal on a rather good budget SSD, but now Amazon’s supersale settles down into its final hours, I think we can afford ourselves a look at something…spicier. Something superlative, in fact, as the Samsung 990 Pro is the single fastest NVMe SSD I’ve ever tested for game load speeds – and it can be yours for 24% off in the UK, or 40% off in the US.
]]>You know the drill by now. Big sale event, Logitech G502 Hero, legendary gaming mouse, yadda yadda yadda. This time it’s Prime Day 2024 making the cuts, with 64% off the G502 on Amazon UK and a lower (but still very deserving) 56% saving on Amazon US.
]]>I don’t know if there’s a 'default' gamepad for playing controller-leaning games on PC, but if there is, it’s likely the Xbox Wireless Controller. Much in the same way that if you fancied a tin of beans, chances are you’d reach for classic Heinz, you just know that the Xbox pad will do the job. Unlike those saucy Haricots, however, I’ve always winced at how pricey the Xbox Wireless Controller is – except today, the last of Prime Day 2024, where UK-based Prime members can pick one up for a far more sensible £40. In one of five colours, too.
]]>Assuming you’ve already furnished your Steam Deck with a microSD card, your next stop on the accessories train should probably be a docking station. As luck would have it, Ugreen’s nifty 6-in-1 hub/stand combo is currently going extra-cheap, should you take up Amazon’s offer to stack a substantial Prime Day reduction with an additional voucher.
]]>A few months back I got my hands on an MSI Thin GF63, largely for an overdue look at the RTX 4050 within. Since then, this slimline gaming laptop has elbowed its way into more regular use within the Archer household, particularly when I have portable PC needs that the Steam Deck can’t quite satisfy. Now you too can get one on the cheap, by way of a chunky Prime Day discount – and as if God himself was calling me a loser nerd, it’s the significantly brawnier RTX 4060 model to boot.
]]>Graphics cards are always worth looking out for on sale events like Prime Day, largely because they’re so hideously expensive otherwise. Take Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4060, whose positioning in the RTX 40 series hierarchy would suggest an affordable mid-range GPU, yet routinely pushes £300. Here, though, you can nab the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4060 Windforce OC edition at a 15% discount, bringing it down to a far more agreeable £238. Nice.
]]>Recent SSD prices have made for miserable reading and even worse shopping, with the costs of last year’s manufacturing woes passed onto innocent punters. At least Prime Day 2024 is, if only temporarily, righting those wrongs – such as with the massive 2TB WD Blue SN580 going for a mere £96. Two whole terabytes of quality NVMe for less than a hundred quid? Nature is healing.
]]>Apologies for the two handheld-minded deals posts in a row, readers, but I’ve just noticed that the Prime Day 2024 has made the Lenovo Legion Go – a bulky but commendably unique handheld Windows PC – cheaper than it’s ever been in the UK. Provided you’ve got an Amazon Prime account, or at least the free Prime trial, the 512GB model can be yours for £569, a saving of £131. Not bad, for a device with a higher-rez display and more graphical horsepower than the Steam Deck or Steam Deck OLED.
]]>Amazon Prime Day is once again bearing the PC hardware fruits, with big discounts on one of the absolute best microSD cards for the Steam Deck (and other handhelds). Specifically, it’s the SanDisk Ultra, and not the diddly 64GB model in the picture above but the honking great 1.5TB version. It's dropped below the £100 / $100 mark for the first time and, while Amazon has the lowest overall prices, it’s on sale elsewhere, allowing you to dodge the usual Prime subscription requirement.
]]>While Prime Day 2024 enters its final hours, we’re still rounding up the best Anti-Prime Day deals on PC gaming hardware. Don’t have a Prime membership? Boycotting Amazon? Just really, really didn’t like New World? These deals, entirely from non-Amazon retailers, are the ones for you.
]]>It's the second and final day of Prime Day 2024, and while there are still plenty of PC gaming deals to be basketed, let's state the obvious: once they're gone, they're gone. Come midnight, these hardware savings will disappear faster than the free pastries at an RPS staff meetup, so now's the time if one of them takes your fancy. The deals, not our pastries. Steady on.
]]>Amazon Prime 2024 finally has a proper date. Two, in fact: the latest rendition of Amazon’s annual Prime-members-only sales shindig will run across July 16 and 17, setting up another midweek dash for PC gaming hardware deals. Quite possibly the best and last one for a while, until Black Friday inevitably returns in November.
Yep, this two-day Prime Day – which they still haven’t changed to "Prime Days" despite me wearing out my best crayons writing irate letters to Jeff Bezos – is likely to present loads of buy-worthy computing kit at discounted rates, with SSDs, Steam Deck microSD cards, and even the latest graphics cards having starred in previous sale events. And since Amazon have now confirmed the when, it’s time to consider the hows, whats, and maybe even the occasional why.
]]>Whenever a friend asks for help in speccing out their upcoming PC build, I almost inevitably go to check if the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo V2 is in stock. Because, for lower-end and mid-range builds especially, do you truly need any other CPU cooler? The Hyper 212 Evo V2 near-perfectly balances simplicity, effectiveness, and affordability; it’s like the PC component equivalent of Charles Eames’ museum-beloved leg splint, only less stackable. More to the point, it’s down to £33 in the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale, equalling its lowest price of 2023 thus far.
]]>Ultrawide gaming monitors are undoubtedly a luxury, to say nothing of the powerful graphics card you’d need to power all their pixels. But cor, what a feast for the eyes these luxuries can be when they’re running a game that supports their full, wrap-around resolutions. The Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale also just happens to be on hand to take some of the monetary sting out of an ultrawide upgrade, with several well-specced displays getting chunky discounts.
]]>In terms of usefulness to the average PC owner, sales events like Amazon Prime Big Deal Days aren’t just for knocking hundreds off big-ticket hardware. They can also make already-affordable kit even more of a bargain, as is the case with the Logitech G413 SE mechanical keyboard: a snip at £60.
This has been on our best gaming keyboards list for a while now, specifically for delivering all the satisfying finger-feel (and durability) of a true mechanical board with a pricing that puts it closer to high-end membrane and hybrid switch models. The G413 SE employs the bumpy 'tactile' style of mech switches, so it’s good for accurate typing, and it’s easily fast and agile enough for gaming duty as well. I actually ended up using this as my main keyboard for a while, despite having more expensive linear-switch boards piled up in a nearby cupboard, and I’d extra-extra-recommend it at this price.
]]>When I tried out the NZXT H5 Flow PC case, I liked it so much that I simply left all the components I’d installed inside it and declared it the new home of the RPS test rig. Now’s a good time for you to switch to this breezy, build-friendly chassis yourself, as its white version is up to 22% off as part of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale.
]]>Lexar's NM790 4TB NVMe SSD thrums at the heart of my most beautiful , functional computer, the Digital Foundry CPU test bed. And now it can thrum at the heart of your PC too, as this capacious drive has dropped in price from $210 to $177 at Amazon US.
]]>LG makes a ton of monitors, so it's perhaps unsurprising that I wasn't familiar with their 34WP60C-B ultrawide model. This unassuming choice normally retails for $450, but does offer a higher-than-average 160Hz refresh rate to go along with a 34-inch VA panel and 3440x1440 resolution.
Today though, this monitor crashes into new relevance as it's been discounted to just $200 at LG's US store, an incredible price that makes it almost an impulse buy pickup for anyone that wants to try out the majesty of an ultrawide monitor.
]]>Samsung's 990 Pro PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD is the fastest gaming drive we've ever tested - faster even than the Crucial T700, a PCIe 5.0 SSD. And unlike that SSD, the 990 Pro works on a wide range of PCs and even the PS5, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
In fact, today it's down to $129.99 for a 2TB Heatsink model on Amazon as part of the firm's Big Deal Days, which is a pretty sweet offer - albeit one restricted sadly to Prime customers.
]]>Here’s a little stocking stuffer of an Amazon Prime Big Deal Days deal: Jsaux’s Steam Deck thumbstick covers, tried-and-testing members of the best Steam Deck accessories club, are one sale for even less money than usual.
]]>Good morning, American friends, and welcome to an Amazon Prime Big Deal Days highlight just for you. See, I was rifling through the available deals on gaming laptops, and nothing caught my eye quite like this high-spec, current-gen Asus ROG Strix G16 – with a chunky $320 sliced off the MSRP.
]]>I like the Steam Deck but its storage options don’t really reflect the grand-scale gigabyte munching that modern PC games indulge in. An added microSD card feels very much like a necessity, and in the UK, Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale is knocking 50% off one of the best.
]]>The Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale is proving to be the first of its kind – that’s right, Prime Day, apply yourself – to make notable cuts on the very latest and greatest GPUs. You can find all of the highlights in our Prime Big Deal Days graphics card deals guide, but I wanted to draw special attention to a couple of Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti listings; the most attainable members of the infamously pricey RTX 40 series, now even lighter on the old wallet.
]]>Now that I’ve spent two breathless hours updating our main Amazon Prime Big Deal Days PC gaming deals hub, it’s time to focus in on some of the standout offers that Amazon’s latest sale is serving up. As expected, SSD prices have been widely cleaved; friend of RPS Will Judd already caught the superlative WD Black SN850X going for a bargain, and it turns out a bunch of excellent Crucial drives are on sale for even less.
]]>Mega sales events like Amazon Prime Big Deal Days should prick up the ears of anyone wanting a good graphics card deal. As expensive as these slabs of pixel-pushing circuitry can get, even the most luxurious GPUs can find themselves snared in Amazon’s savings net, from which we can pick out solely the best GPU deals of the day. Days, sorry. Until October 11th.
]]>Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale is proving a decent source of Steam Deck accessory deals. Last week’s early offers shaved cash off some of my personal favourite cases, docks, and microSD cards, and now that the main event is underway, there’s a fresh supply of affordable add-ons for the Valve handheld. Here, we shall catalogue the best.
]]>The Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale is into is second and final day, and it's still rife with PC gaming deals on a scale you won’t see outside of Prime Day itself. Or Black Friday. Or the Amazon Spring Sale, come to think of it. Jeff, mate, sure you've got enough of these things?
Ecommerce saturation aside, I will say that Prime Big Deal Days – which runs until the end of October 11th – does serve up some respectable price cuts across the usual wide breadth of PC gaming hardware. They're on the stuff you’d actually want, too – there are discounts on some of the finest SSDs, peripherals, CPUs, and even graphics cards that we’ve shunted through the RPS test labs. In this guide, I’ve picked out only the best of the best deals; if there’s a PC upgrade worth having from Prime Big Deal Days, you’ll find it here.
]]>Despite it being several years old, there’s still no clear successor to the Logitech G915 Lightspeed Wireless as the king of cable-free gaming keyboards. The build quality, the feel of the mechanical switches, the complete lack of tangible latency… it’s all just lovely. Historically, its high price has been the sole sore spot, but at least it’s joining in Amazon Prime Day with big savings on both the full size and more compact tenkeyless versions.
]]>After the Logitech G432 deal from earlier, let us now consider a more premium option in the Amazon Prime Day sales: namely, the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless. It’s 25% off in both the UK and US, and in the former’s case, doesn’t even need the usual Prime membership; it just happens to have dropped its price on the final day of Amazon’s big event.
]]>Despite the mobile versions of Nvidia’s RTX 40 series graphics cards launching months ago, it’s been surprisingly challenging to find compelling gaming laptops with these new GPUs inside – and even harder to find them with discounts. Luckily, this MSI Katana 15 has found its way into the Amazon Prime Day sales, offering an RTX 4070 at below market rates.
]]>As far as Steam Deck-compatible microSD cards go, the SanDisk Ultra line is already one of the best for balancing value with speed. Now, thanks to Amazon Prime Day, the 1TB model is an even better match for Valve’s handheld PC – though you’ll need to be quick to grab one at just £85.
]]>One of the go-to brands for all things storage in recent years has been Samsung. They're resonsible for several of the best gaming SSDs across NVMe, SATA and external drives, and one of these successes - the 870 Evo SATA SSD - is going cheap for Prime Day 2023. The 870 Evo offers high read/write speeds, and at just £86 this massive 2TB model is down to its lowest price ever on Amazon.
]]>Amazon Prime Day's second day - riles me up that it's technically not a day - of price cuts has served up something rather tantalising for those of us who like to wrap our ears in leatherette and blast the sounds of footsteps into our eardrums. The Logitech G432 wired headset is on sale for a solid £35: that over 50% off the list price, so it's a hefty discount for our top pick of the best PC gaming headsets.
]]>If it feels like we post too often about the Logitech G502 going on sale, it’s only because... oh gosh it really does go on sale a lot. But in our defence, it’s a damned good gaming mouse, appreciated by both multiple members of the RPS treehouse and you, the readers. Besides, this time it’s dropping even deeper than usual, with the Amazon Prime Day 2023 sale sending the G502 Hero down to £29.
]]>Every time there’s an Amazon Prime Day, I go rummaging around looking for deals on the PC gear that I use everyday. For the reccs, of course, not because I'm building a collection of identical headsets. I can’t find any formal Prime-specific savings on my current choice of gaming keyboard, the Roccat Vulcan II Max, but two different previous versions are going cheap: the Vulcan 120 in the UK, and the Vulcan 121 in the US.
]]>This year’s Amazon Prime Day is turning into quite to opportunity to kit out a Steam Deck. Besides that Samsung Pro Plus microSD deal, I’ve also found one of my favourite combo stands/USB hubs, the Ugreen Docking Station, on sale. Both UK and US denizens can grab one for 21% and 30% off respectively, saving that make it less than half the price of Valve’s official Steam Deck Docking Station.
]]>Yet again, the best PCIe 4.0 SSD for gaming strikes during a big sale event, this time being Amazon Prime Day 2023. The abso-bloomin’-lutely brilliant WD Black SN850X is down to a relative pittance for its 1TB model, dropping to £62 in the UK and $60 in the US. That should be enough storage space for most PCs, but the 2TB model does happen to be on sale as well, at £109 / $140. Making it an even better deal than it was, uh, four days ago. Sorry, anyone who bought one after that post.
]]>Sometimes Amazon Prime Day is good for snipping off the last few pounds off something before it crosses the "Aww g'wan then" threshold, and sometimes it’s good for cleaving great, meaty chunks of cost off an ordinarily expensive bit of kit. For these RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Ti deals, it’s very much the latter.
]]>If - like me - you quickly ran out of storage space on your Steam Deck by downloading 30 games released around 2007 that you'll never play, you'll be on the lookout for a compatible microSD card so you can comfortably download another 70 without breaking a sweat. Thankfully, Amazon Prime Day has your back, offering some pretty tasty discounts on the Samsung Pro Plus in its 256GB and 512GB varieties.
]]>If you've put up with a clunky clicker for too long, now's the time to pull the trigger, or in this case, press down with enough force to add the HyperX Pulsefire Haste to your basket. It's got a hefty 50% discount for Amazon Prime Day, the biggest discount since last year's Black Friday. Can I vouch for it? Yes, I have one! It's light and accurate and does a very good job of skating across my mat like a perfectly tuned puck.
]]>A liveblog? For Amazon Prime Day's PC gaming deals? I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t an unfamiliar use of the tech – normally I just use liveblogs to relay game announcements or make fun of Geoff Keighley’s clothes.
There is, however, a lick of sense behind it. Sifting through the hundreds, if not thousands of discounted gaming wares is a time-hungry process – just ask Ed and Liam, who I’ve shandhaied into helping this year – and the main Prime Day PC gaming deals hub, the Prime Day graphics card deals hub, and the Prime Day Steam Deck accessories deals hub all tend to get larger but less frequent updates. To say nothing of the Anti-Prime Day deals guide, which also highlights savings on quality hardware from non-Amazon sellers. Keep an eye on this liveblog, though, and we’ll point out the really great stuff more or less as soon as we find it.
]]>The launch of another Amazon Prime Day means it’s time for another guide on how to ignore it. Yes, it’s the 2023 edition of our annual Anti-Prime Day deals list, where we round up the tastiest deals on a range of PC gaming hardware – all from non-Amazon retailers, and at prices that rival, match outright, or even beat those offered by the Prime Day sales.
]]>Graphics cards and Amazon Prime Day seem like a good match: components that are still stinging from years of overpricing, introduced to a sales event that reliably slashes PC gaming hardware. Sure enough, early Prime Day GPU deals have made even spanking-new models like the RTX 4060 Ti more affordable, and now it’s time to see what the main event has to offer.
]]>Amazon Prime Day 2023 has arrived, as it was always going to, and I’ve been tasked with assembling all the best Prime Day PC gaming deals, as I was always go to be. Whereas our Anti-Prime Day deals guide rounds up select cash-saving opportunities from non-Amazon retailers, this one is occupied by PC hardware sales as the Prime Day architects intended – perhaps even better, as nowadays there are deep discounts on actually good SSDs, keyboards, gaming monitors and so on. Not just a load of half-price cable ties and surplus mouse mats, like those first few Prime Days were all about.
]]>SteelSeries' Arctis Nova lineup are some of the most comfortable and best-designed gaming headsets I've ever used. (In fact, I just spent the last few days finding the perfect aftermarket cushions for my Arctis Nova Pro Wireless just to give it a unique look.)
Therefore, I thought I'd let you know about a great price for the entry-level Arctis Nova 3, a wired version of the headset that offers the same comfortable design at a lower weight and with support for a wide range of USB devices from PC and Steam Deck (via USB-A or USB-C) to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and more.
It's currently on sale for $70 at Amazon US, a tidy 30% discount from its original US MSRP of $100 as part of an early Prime Day deal.
]]>Prime Gaming is giving away four extra games in June and July to celebrate Prime Day 2023, on top of the June freebies already announced. Prey (2017) is already available to claim on GOG, and the next three games will drop weekly.
]]>Amazon Prime Day 2023 has a date, or indeed, two: Amazon's annual "sod it, discounts everywhere" sale will run across July 11th and 12th. That's a solid Tuesday and Wednesday to nab a deal on some new PC kit, almost definitely including some familiar faces from our best hardware guides.
]]>In keeping with the theme of highlighting Prime Day 2022 deals on hardware I’ve used personally, here are two discounted HyperX headsets that are no strangers to the ol’ chrome dome. First we have the all-round superb HyperX Cloud II, a snip at £50 / $58, while the much newer HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless is down from £189 to £119 in the UK.
]]>If the Roccat Vulcan 120 is a bit too wide and/or cabled for your gaming keyboard tastes, Prime Day 2022 has a pretty compelling alternative in the Logitech G915 Lightspeed Wireless TKL. This is the more compact, tenkeyless version of the G915 that lives in our best gaming keyboard rankings, and those with Prime accounts can lop huge chunks off its retail price.
]]>Today is the second and final day of Prime Day 2022, which means sadly – assuming we’re setting an extremely low bar for things to consider sad – a lot of the best deals have been and gone. Nonetheless, there are still a fair few offers still running on the WD Blue SN570, a seasoned member of the best SSDs club owing to its high PCIe 3.0 speeds and relatively affordable pricing.
It’s even more affordable now, of course, especially if you’ve got an Amazon Prime account and are in the UK. The 1TB and 2TB models – both capacious enough to act as your PC’s sole storage drive – have Prime-exclusive savings on Amazon UK, with the 1TB SN570 a few quid cheaper than it was during last year’s Black Friday sales.
]]>Amazon Prime Day 2022 is entering its final hours, so last chance to take advantage of the best Prime Day PC gaming deals. While some good discounts vanished overnight (Prime Day is in fact two days, July 12th and 13th), the majority will keep running until the clock strikes midnight. To save you the bother of sifting through a mighty mountain of bargain bin junk, I've been collecting agreeable Amazon deals on actually good PC hardware right here.
Unlike the kinds of offers you’d find during, say, Black Friday, all the best Prime Day offers are only available to Amazon Prime subscribers. If you don't have a membership, you could always sign up for Prime's 30-day free trial - more on that in our guide to everything you need to know about Prime Day, which you can also find further down. Here's some tips on how to find the best Prime Day deals for yourself, too.
]]>Prime Day 2022 comes just as the global graphics card market slowly emerges from a devastating crypto-coma. That means some prices are back to normal, some aren’t, and the entire concept of a deal becomes kind of nebulous and squishy. And yet, there will undoubtedly be people out there desperate for a new graphics card – any new graphics card – so let’s take a look at what’s out there.
]]>If there’s a US-only Prime Day 2022 deal I wouldn’t mind seeing over here, it’s the Roccat Vulcan 120 for $88. That’s nearly a full 50% off the $160 RRP (I believe you aluminium mispronouncers call it “MSRP”), for a full-size mechanical keyboard that’s sat atop our best gaming keyboard rankings for ages.
]]>Between it being Prime Day 2022, and Valve drastically speeding up the rate at rate at which they're shipping Steam Decks, now seems like an opportune time to check on whether you can save some cash on the best microSD cards for the handheld PC. Also because Liam just got his Deck and asked me about them this morning. So if you find these deals posts annoying, s’his fault.
]]>I’ve been using the Razer Basilisk V3 as my everyday gaming mouse for months, and now that Prime Day 2022 has launched, I have more reason than ever to talk it up. Amazon’s two-day “sod it, money off everything” event has brought the Basilisk V3 down to £35 in the UK, a price that appears to be an all-time low here in Blighty.
]]>Amazon Prime Day 2022 is characteristically awash with sales on PC gaming hardware. But what if you don’t have the Amazon Prime subscription required to partake of them – or if you just don’t like Amazon? Cheap new peripherals/monitors/SSDs/other gubbins can still be yours, as plenty of other retailers are running sales this week to give Prime Day some healthy competition. In some cases they’ll even have the same kit as Amazon but at a matching or even better prices. Thus, this list, which gathers together all of the best anti-Prime Day deals I’ve found.
]]>Drop.com, the website formerly known as Massdrop, has taken on Amazon with its own Prime Week of deals. There are around 30 discounted items in all, including headsets and headphones, amps, mechanical keyboards and accessories, with some nice savings on a range of high-end PC gear. Here are some highlights from the sale that might be worth knowing about!
]]>The Samsung 870 Qvo, the best value SATA SSD, is available in sizes up to 8TB, making it a great option for storing a huge amount of games and media on PC or consoles like the PS4 Pro. Today the 4TB model has been sharply discounted on Amazon, to just $323. That's 25% off the previous price of $430 and a new historic low.
]]>Yesterday, I highlighted some great anti-Prime Day deals on some pre-built RTX 30 gaming PCs at Ebuyer, but today I've found an RTX 3070 PC over at custom building outfit AWD-IT that's had 20% shaved off its price, saving you just over £300 in the process. It's a pretty great build, too, with an Ryzen 5 5600X CPU in there, a tempered glass CoolerMaster case and that aforementioned RTX 3070 card all for £1279.
]]>There have been some great gaming mouse deals over the last 48 hours for this year's Prime Day, including some truly spectacular discounts on RPS reader favourite, the Logiteh G502 Hero. However, for the true bargain hunters out there, I've got one that's arguably even better, as Logitech's equally brilliant G203 Lightsync mouse is down to an even more scintillating price of just £17 / $20 at the moment - and you don't even have to shop at Amazon to get it that cheap, either.
]]>Amazon Prime Day may be soaking up all the deals limelight this week, but there are still plenty of great PC gaming deals taking place at other retailers around the web if you want to avoid the big Bezos machine. To help you get the best prices without all the hassle of searching for them yourself, we've rounded up all the best PC gaming deals that are either just as good as Amazon or, in some cases, actually a little bit better in both the UK and US. Whether you're after a new monitor or fancy getting a new replacement mouse, keyboard or headset, we've got you covered.
]]>My favourite mouse of all time is the Logitech G Pro Wireless. I've owned one since it came out in 2018, I still use it almost every day and I recommend it wherever possible - but normally, I have to say "I know it's expensive, but it's worth it."
Today, I don't need to say the second part, as this legendary Logitech mouse has dropped from its normal retail price of £110 (!) to something a little more reasonable. It's now £62 at Currys PC World when you use the code FNDDGAMING at the checkout. That's the lowest price we've ever seen for this model, and a great deal for anyone looking for a high performance wireless mouse for work or gaming.
]]>The Crucial MX500 is one of the best SATA SSDs on the market, and today it's been discounted quite heavily over on Amazon. The roomy 2TB model has been dropped to £140, significantly below the £175 mark it's been offered at for the past three months - and nearly £25 less than the last time we highlighted it on sale!
Get the 2TB Crucial MX500 SATA SSD for £140 (was £175)
It's not just Amazon doing mega deals this Prime Day. Ebuyer are also getting in on the action, and right now they have some great RTX 30 desktops on sale that are both £150 off at the moment, with free next day delivery - and they're better than anything you'll currently find on Amazon, too. One is an RTX 3060 build, and the other is a powerful RTX 3080 PC.
]]>Amazon US has some pretty decent CPU deals for Prime Day this year, but not all of them are as good value as they might first appear. Nabbing the Intel Core i7-9700K for $260 might seem like a great discount compared to its usual price of $317, for example, but when the just-as-fast Core i5-10600K can be had for just $179 today, would-be upgraders would be much better off choosing the latter if you're looking for a great CPU on the cheap.
]]>If you've been struggling to upgrade your PC recently due to the hardware shortage and are thinking about jumping ship to a laptop, then this Asus ROG Strix G513QM is currently £300 off for Amazon Prime Day, taking this normally £1600 laptop down to a much more agreeable £1300. Not bad for a 300Hz display and an RTX 3060 graphics chip, eh?
]]>It's the second and final day of Amazon Prime Day today, and the time to grab this year's best PC gaming deals in the UK and US is quickly running out. With Prime Day due to end at 11.59pm on Tuesday June 22nd, there's not long left to grab some of this year's lowest prices on the best SSDs, gaming monitors, mice, keyboards and headsets available right now. To help you find all those great PC gaming deals, I've rounded up the best from the UK and US below. I'll also be highlighting individual deals throughout the day, and updating this hub as and when deals expire or better ones come in, so be sure to check back regularly for more updates. For now, though, here are the best Prime Day PC gaming deals you can get right now.
]]>SSDs may have been the big stars of this year's Amazon Prime Day, but holy moly would you look at the size (and price) of this 20TB WD My Book Duo Desktop external hard drive. This monolithic storage cube would normally set you back a whopping £680 at any other time of the year, but the old Prime Day bargains have brought this two-bay, Raid 0-ed mega drive down to a deals-tastic £350.
]]>If you're in need of a new gaming headset, they don't come much better than the Steelseries Arctis Pro + GameDAC - especially when you can nab one for £40 cheaper than usual as part of Amazon Prime Day. Normally £190, this excellent wired gaming headset is now down to £150.
